I don’t think so, the guy who drew it apparently works for Atomic Cartoons (who’s animating the G5 series). He even is working in a Spiderman cartoon done there.

He’s not evil. Nobody was. He just took things a little too far that one time.
Perhaps he is getting a redemption arc and they’re doing it slowly as the season progresses.
