I’m guessing from them directly, as I know I’ve seen Pony-Berserker state that it was the IDW comics (and specifically Andy Price) that inspired him to learn to draw in the first place.
Well, if he did, it wouldn’t be under the name ‘Pony Berserker’. It would be under his actual name like Tony Fleecs or Andy Price. So no, I don’t know if he did or not.
Considering how much time has passed since that image was uploaded, I am surprised that it only has just over 150 upvotes. Some images get that many upvotes in a single day.
Honestly, this art really reminds me of the art made by Andy Price, if you have heard of him. He made most of the art in the early FiM comics, and he might be the one that you are thinking of when think of the MLP IDW comics.
