He never got the triangle mask at any point of the show.
Remember the square guy whom he took it from was about to discover him but was fortunately killed and his mask used to further deep his cover. Such a nice irony.

Also, if he had a triangoe mask, others would have suspect him for not carrying a rifle or soldier’s clothing.

But wasn’t that a triangle mask he took from the sugar game? Unless I forgotten or overlooked, he never got a square mask.

Of course, we can imagine this ponified version of him got it somehow.
Remember, the shape masks seemed to show ranks. (Bottom to top): Circle -> Triangle -> Square -> “Front Man” (-> and of course, “The Host” for his golden animal mask).

Since the Chairman shot a manager for revealing his face to a player (at gunpoint) during the honey cookie shape trial. He then pick up the mask and use it to better infiltrate inside the complex.

It’s not that hard to notice when the camera keep looking at it though I’m still not sure what that means.

Though I must say, I thought he was going to get caught because of his button. You’d think someone would notice when everyone look the same aside the mask.

BTW, since when he got a square mask?
