More additions to the Guardianverse redesigns! I’ve had these half way done for… a while now. Glad to finally finish them and post them. I was going to draw Helios’ father… but I didn’t want to lol so the King will continue to remain a mystery.

Colt
Name: Prince Helios Suntrotter
Species: Unicorn
Special Talent: Powerful archer
Facts: Helios is the 5th son of the current rulers of Solentia, King Ferocity Suntrotter and Queen Heaven Sail. He is married to Princess Twilight Sparkle with whom he has one son and twin daughters. He enjoys performing great feats of athleticism and spends much of his time outside. Hates cold and snow and rain as Solentia is in a constant state of sunshine and the weather changes that Equestria has just aren’t something he’s accustomed to. There is a legend that says he received his cutie mark after he shot an arrow so powerful that it pierced the sun. Helios’ gradient horn is a trait passed down from his father, something every unicorn in the Suntrotter line possesses.
Additional Info about the Marriage: Helios first met Twilight during a trip his family made to Equestria to discuss treaties between the two lands. Becoming fast friends, they kept in contact by letters. It wasn’t long before Helios proposed to Twilight, as they both cared for each other very deeply and he honestly wanted to join their kingdoms together with the marriage, something he expressed to Twilight. She felt the same way, seeing the strategic value of the union, and they married only a few months after Helios’ proposal.

Name: Queen Heaven Sail
Species: Alicorn
Special Talent: Sailing ships through stormy weather
Facts: The queen is very kind and loving, truly a mother to all of her subjects. She’s very old, been alive about as long as Celestia, and has higher standers and expensive taste, some might even consider her snobby. As a leader she is forgiving with punishment and steadfast with her values, she will always fight for every creature in her kingdom. Can appear laid back, almost like she doesn’t care about what’s going on around her, but don’t let that calm attitude fool you… she’s a very intelligent and strategic mare who is constantly keeping tabs on those around her. She’s had to face some hard times in her life as a ruler, and this has made her extremely cautious with who she trusts.
Alicorn Ascension: She was a young pegasus working for the royal navy when the fleet of ships she was a part of ran into a storm. Her captain was failing to steer the ship to avoid the waves so she took a lantern and flew in front of the ship to guide them. While flying she dropped the lantern but her will and desire to guide her fellow navel ponies caused a bright light to emit from her and they were able to make it through the storm. Once she landed back on the ship the others were surprised to find that she now had a horn along with a larger and stronger pair of wings.

Additional Info about the Royal Family of Solentia: Queen Heaven Sail has been ruling Solentia for almost as long as it’s been a kingdom, marrying the first king, Galactic Suntrotter, right after she became an alicorn. While Galactic Suntrotter started the kingdom, first rising to power when he used his magic to capture the light of the sun to brighten the dark and cold land in which they lived, he was only a unicorn and did not gain alicorn status thus did end up dying of old age. Heaven Sail did not want to live her life alone nor did she want to rule Solentia alone, so whenever she lost a spouse to death she would remarry within a month’s time. To appease those who looked down upon the idea of a commoner ruling their land, Heaven Sail chose someone from one of the 5 royal families in Solentia so that the ruler would always be royalty. She chose from a different family each time, moving between them in order and starting again with the Suntrotters after choosing from each family. This practice has been repeated over and over again and is considered the norm in Solentia. Do note that Heaven Sail did not always choose a colt, having been married to a number of mares in her time.

So… the royals of Solentia are a little complicated… to say the least lol
