”Are you ready, Cloud?” Cloud Spirit remembered her mother asking her that morning. She trotted downstairs, in her Wonderbolts reserves uniform.
She scowled at her mother, who was fumbling for the camera. “Say cheese! This is going in the scrap book of your life!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed with a bright smile on her face.
“Cheese,” Cloud Spirit sighed. It’s more like the scrap book of her life, she thought.
It was the first day of Wonderbolts training, and Cloud was wasting a whole three hours for this, when she could be at home cuddling with her snake re-reading the encyclopedia of every animal that every existed in Equestira. But, she was here, with the blinding sun in her face, up high in the clouds.
She walked around the campus, flustered to see so many Pegasi in one place. All of them looked to tough and strong, like they actually wanted to be here. She looked around some more and spotted a bulky dappled brown pegasus. Their eyes met, and she started walking over to her.
Ugh… it’s just a simple conversation… here we go…
“Ayy, C-Spirit! Wazzup?” Sona exclaimed. “Hi, Sona Shy. Not much. Just here.” Cloudy told her. “Well turn that frown upside down, child! You’re living the dream, aren’t you?” Sona asked, flapping her wings.
“Yeah. The dream.”
Sona tilted her ears in a confused way. “Hey, if your worried about flying or something, don’t be. You’re parents are literally the best flyers out there. My moms aren’t even a third of how great yours are.” Sona said, brushing her wing against hers.
“But you’re good at it anyways,” Cloud Spirit told her. “I’m not, even if my parents are,” she explained. “Oh, don’t be so hard on yourself, C! You’re gonna be great. Don’t worry.”
I’m gonna worry anyways. I’m literally a anxious dip of a pegasus, she thought.
After twenty minutes or so, a yellow pegasus with a fiery orange mane blew a piercing whistle. “All Wonderbolt trainees get your asses over here now!” She hollered at them.
Sona and Cloud Spirit quickly flew into the line of terrified looking Pegasi. Spitfire started slowly flying past them, giving every single pony the stink eye as she passed them. When she came up to Cloud Spirit, she paused.
Oh no. Now what?
Cloud didn’t know what to do, so she just stared at the pavement. “Oh look,” Spitfire started.
“Crash decided to enroll her child here! Bitch thought she could keep her legacy going, huh?” Spitfire said, looking down at Cloud Spirit.
did she just call my mother a bitch?
“Let’s see if she’s right. Give me twenty.” Spitfire said. “M-me?” Clouds Spirit stammered, butterflies fluttering in her stomach.
“NOW!” Spitfire yelled in her face, letting tiny droplets of saliva pelt Cloud’s cheek. Without a second thought, the blue pegasus started sprinting onto the runway. She lifted her wings, and shot into the air. She flew higher and higher looking down at Spitfire who walked her like a hawk. Cloud’s heart beat faster and faster as she circled around the campus.

By the time she was on here last lap, it felt like her wings weren’t even attached to her body anymore. Her hair blew in the wind as the cold air dried her mouth. She flapped and flapped, reaching the runway again, and taking a sharp landing.
At first she ran but she couldn’t stop herself from tumbling into a nearby trash can. Cloud could feel the mucky leftover of lunch meat and candy wrappers all over her. She could here ponies laughing at her tragic landing from afar.
Before she could stand up, she felt hooves under her, pick her up out from the trash. Sona brushed off as much muck she could, but it still stained her soft pelt. “Are you okay, Cloud?” She asked.
”The minutes and six seconds. Not great, but not bad, kid.” Spitfire said before Cloud could answer. “I can’t wait to tell Crash what happened! That was hilarious.” Spitfire told her.
“Go wash up, and come back here before we start,” Spitfire said, pointing to the building with showers. “As for you shits,” she said, turning to the snickering ponies.
“Give me 20, too! And try not to crash into any trash cans, okay?” Spitfire said with laugh.
Sona patted her back, then shot into the sky, pushing past the small Pegasi. Cloud Spirit made we way to the showers.
She walked into the stall then started crying. Her tears tasted like sweat and salt, giving her a bad taste in her mouth. I can’t believe that happened! Why did mother make me do this? Only to make me a fool. She doesn’t get it. I bet she never collided into a trash can, and had everyone laugh at her…
She proceeded to clean herself, then after went back to training. Hopefully it wouldn’t go any worse.
Decided not to change Sona’s design. I love it again lol
Well I hope you like it! Happy reading!
