The Mistake
I hope she comes back so they can curve stomp the fanon again. I love it when they do that. Watching people getting made at the canon because it doesn’t comply with their fanon is the best, especially since they try to rearrange it to make their head-canons possible instead of adapting like a normal person would do.

“A friend or a rival?”  
Even they aren’t telling if she’ll be friendly or bitter. Ooooh, the suspense is killing me!  
Personally, I’m going with Rival. If Trixie can beat the Element of Magic, then she knows she is truly the best. Besides, being a jerk doesn’t mean she’s evil. She’s just competitive and egotistic.  
Of course, we can’t know for sure since she rarely said a word to Twilight in Boast Busters.

I just hope she won’t be spewing kindness everywhere she goes when she does return - her whole appeal is that there’s an asshole in the show to relate to. If she starts crying despite not having given a single fuck when her caravan was destroyed, then they’ll have ruined a perfectly good character.

My preference for a Trixie return episode would be Trixie telling off Twilight and her friends for being hypocrites (“Oh, Trixie brags at a free, zero-obligation attendance, unclaimed venue and deserves to lose her possessions, livelihood and home. You make national headlines destroying multiple major social events and you’re these prissy little saints.”)
