Spike got all credit for no reason in “The Crystal Empire” despite all the hard work and roles the other characters had played. Like Twilight, she did most of it.
In “Gauntlet of Fire,” I was wondering where Garble’s hatred of ponies came from and why anyone would invade an entire land to get something more comfortable to sleep on instead of rocks. And dragons aren’t able to use magic, so they are without a doubt weak and harmless enough.
What are you talking about? He has many redeeming qualities.
He’s loyal to his friends, no matter how mean they are to him.
He’s has many funny lines, and can still find some way to make humor in a scary situation.
He’s learned to not be greedy, and to be generous to others.
And also looks out for his friends, especially twilight, when she starts losing it.
>The “humor” of the episodes is more in line with Invader Zim or Ed Edd and Eddy.
>implying that that’s a bad thing.
I agree about the mean-spiritedness of it. But out of all the of spike episodes, it is one of the least-awful (Secret of my Excess, is good).
I think Spike at your service is reserved for worst spike episode.
I didn’t think “Sidekicks” was that good. It feel entirely too mean spirited to be an episode of FiM. The “humor” of the episodes is more in line with Invader Zim or Ed Edd and Eddy. Plus it expected us to sympathize with Angel Bunny. I never want to see Angel Bunny in this cartoon again unless he spends every second of his screen time being punished.
Not to you anyway. I love slapstick.
It was never funny
But Cory Powell’s just for sidekicks was one of the two GOOD spike episodes out there.
I agree, don’t let Cindy morrow write his episodes, and please let M. Williams stay away from him.
TOO LATE! HAHA!
