The self checkout machine always yells at me to replace the item removed from the bagging area, but it’s only because I’m spending an extra 2 seconds to grab another bag.
This comic was inspired by that. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Yeah, it just means put it into the bag.
Do you actually have to replace the item? Would the machine know at all? Or does replace just mean “put it back on again” in this instance?
They’re one of my main inspirations, so that’s not too surprising haha. I’m keenly aware of it and have been trying to develop my own more unique style, but the “stage” aesthetic is just too perfect sometimes.
There are lots of different ones, but the ones I use will tell you to replace the item removed from the bagging area if you take longer than a couple seconds to put it there. Whenever I take a few extra seconds to put a bag down, it complains that I’m taking too long / thinks I put the item somewhere else after scanning.
