Hi there! I do all of my work in CSP and my lineart is often split between three colors: black, red, and blue. I manually skew the red and blue lines from the black in opposite directions, then lower the opacity. I felt this gave my lineart a sort of chromatic aberration feel, made it a bit more dynamic than static black.

Hey, um, I’ve noticed an interesting detail in this, the outlines have vertical color (red below, blue above) fringes. Why is that? I could think of two reasons, first one being that this is supposed to be an anaglyph 3d stereo image, but that’s unlikely. I think the likely explanation is that this is to visually enhance the resolution of curves in one direction on displays with regular vertical RGB pixel layout. So the same as how test is rendered often (Microsoft called this “clear type”). I wonder what program was this rendered in?
