Yep, you are right about all of that. That’s the reason why I love CDs so much-they are cheap compared to digital lossless files of popular albums, plus they preserve the full quality of the original track. They are also really easy to play back as well-all you really need is a CD player and you’re good to go.
CDs are the best. Make my own digital copy, keep the original as a back-up.
16-bit/44.1kHz is perfectly cromulent for human hearing.
Greater bit depths or higher sampling rates don’t result in any human-perceptible improvement. For production work it can be nice to have something more “high-res” to reduce the chance of introducing noise and artefacts during mixing, but outputting competently to a CD quality final product preserves all the audio information a human sensory apparatus can ingest.

Not everyone likes digital
CD is the best format, bro. I own most, if not all of my music collection on CD. It’s the best of physical and digital. I have this one on pre-order, mostly just for Glowin’ Up and Fit Right In.
I do!
I own CDs mostly because they provide music that I can rip onto any MP3 player that I want for very little money. They are incredibly useful in that way, you know.
Though the original image on Facebook is bigger, mind if I’ll upload it?
Also, all hard yes, I’m agreeing with fans of physical merch: at least I’ll keep it for paying only once unlike with streaming…
i am a kpop fan and i own a few physical copies of some albums even tho i only listen to the songs on streaming platforms, idk i just get a good feeling owning the stuff in a physical format and i’m definetly getting this one
Some people do prefer to physically own things
We pretty much said the exact same thing, my friend.
Quite a few people, actually, especially collectors. With CDs, you can replicate the songs as many times as you like, plus the audio quality is better than what you would find in an MP3 file, which is 8-bit, though admittedly it isn’t as good as a FLAC or ALAC file, since CDs are restricted to 16-bit audio. So this is quite an interesting release for sure.
More than anybody, media collectors
