The Sonic Rainboom never revealed the jewels in the rock to Rarity, so she was never inspired to continue with fashion. Walking home she passed Sweet Apple Acres, noticed young Mac having trouble gathering some apples and generously helped him. Granny invited her to stay for supper. Rarity began to visit more. Farmwork was unusual for a unicorn, but it offered her a clarity she had never had. When Granny’s hip gave out, Rarity was offered half of the farm along with Big Mac.

Well when she was in Rarity’s place she had to constantly be a creative and socially oriented trend setter and artist, while when she was mimicking rarity all she had to do was remember her old days at Manehatten and act like a southern belle for a couple minutes.
