Discord: Okay, just be cool and-
 
Zecora: [walks up from behind] Again, we meet in the Everfree. I might start to think you are here for me.
 
Discord: [flinches] A-ah, it’s you again.
 
Zecora: What brings you to these neck of the woods? Perhaps you wish for a spell or baked goods?
 
Discord: No thanks. Zebra food is a bit too… spicy for my taste. [sits on a branch] Moreover, I doubt you of all ponies bake.
 
Zecora: That is very true, but then why else would you visit out of the blue?
 
Discord: [blushes] I… Perhaps I was interested in… T-talking to you! I mean, how often does one get to chat with a god?
 
Zecora: I suppose that is a rarity. Though are you usually so into charity?
 
Discord: I do when it benefits me too so its an equal trade… Besides it’s rare to find ponies as wise and… willing to listen.
 
Zecora: …The loss of a beloved leader can wound many hearts. To see those wounds does not require much smarts.
 
Discord: True but to see through me? To see how the loss of Tia… Some days I can’t even… She was supposed to be special. Immortal. She wasn’t supposed to leave me like this! [Slams table]
 
Zecora: …
 
Discord: …No, this isn’t the time for that. I wanted to tell you I’m sorry… About last time. I… I didn’t hurt you, did I?
 
Zecora: [chuckles] I admit, I did not think you were a biter. To be claimed so… passionately certainly made my evening brighter.
 
Discord: [blush] Ugh, you are such a strange mare!
 
Zecora: [Comes closer] Strange, yes but also very willing to be here for you. I suppose I could settle for somepony else but I think you’ll do.
 
Discord: …I could hurt you. I did hurt you.
 
Zecora: [snort] I’m older and stronger than I look, so there’s a lot can I see through. I think I, in all my wisdom and strength, can handle one such as you.
 

 
Discord and Zecora have a interesting relationship. After the sudden death of Celestia, both Twilight and Discord took it hard. Twilight broke down for months, grieving openly. Discord, being the way he was, put on a fake smile, trying to lighten things up and cheer everyone up. He’s the one who suggested celebrating Tia’s life rather than suffering her loss. But even he was heartbroken.
 
He adored Celestia, wanting to be with her himself but chosing to instead be the wingman after learning of Celestia’s Feelings for Twilight. When his jealousy over them got to be too much, he’d hide in the Everfree to let out his frustration. That’s where he met Zecora. At first, he tried to pretend he wasn’t upset but after she cut through his bullshit, he opened up to her. For a while, they’d spend time together and talk about stuff. While Discord wouldn’t admit it, he did come to admire (love) Zecora for her wisdom and wit.
 
After Celestia died, he ended up in the Everfree. After pleading with Zecora, begging her to tell him she loved him, they had sex, though it was mostly Discord trying to rid himself of his feeling of uselessness. He wanted to he held and Zecora obliged. He wouldn’t visit for over a week and he only avoided her cause he thought she’d be mad. She wasn’t.
