I have actually had people manage to do it before.
What you need is blender, the blender source tools add-on, and the sourcefile pack for the ponies.
essentially what you need to do is “Build” the model in blender by importing all the .dmx files needed with the blender source tools add-in (body, legs, head, hair, etc).
Once all those are loaded in, your merge all of the meshes togeather. After that, export the merged mesh as whatever file format you need (.obj for example.)

I do a bit of 3d printing, and I’ve tried to convert these SFM pony models to something I can print but have had no luck.
Anyone have any success in converting these SFM files?
