Sadly, probably mostly skin color. The dregs of bronies left in the fandom tend to get their shorts in a bunch over anyone being depicted as darker toned. The only thing I find a little off is the ears, but the art is good and not worthy of a downvote.

If I was to make a guess, because they’re headcanon characters with headcanon genders/sexualities and they look a little… Wonky.
