After Zecora, Tirek, and Misti accidentally created Malkia, Zecora wanted to study the fusion spell. Could it fuse any creature? What were it’s limits? When Malkia was 5 she decided to test it again. Twilight was also interested in the fusion spell. So the two decided to test it on themselves. Just to see if two mares would work, as the spell had only been known to be used twice, both times with a male and female. They picked a room alone in the castle and Zecora cast the spell again. At first nothing happened so she cast it again before Twilight could tell her not to. Then like last time a flash of light covered the room. But when it cleared they found two strange foals. One had two heads, the other had six legs. But that wasn’t what made it even weirder, the foals didn’t look like a fusions of Twilight at all. The two headed one was striped like Zecora with a blonde mane. The other white and gold striped with a gold, white, and black mane. They searched the room and found sleeping Prince Blueblood. The foals had been fused between Zecora and Blueblood and since Twilight had been in the room, her alicorn magic caused the foals to be mutated. Upon awaking him and explaining what happened, he wasn’t happy with it but agreed that he wanted to be a part of the foals’ lives. He named Ophira and Orabella and Zecora named Dhahabu. Blueblood also had a child named Roseblood. Sired though an alliance with the Ajagara. The only cub that lived between his and the Ajagara princess’s litter. Roseblood didn’t care much for his new siblings at first but as they grew, Roseblood and Blueblood favored Ophira. The darker colored side to the two headed sister. While Orabella was interested in potions and healing like Zecora, Ophira was interested in the royal life. With their different interests it became harder for them to get along together. And since they were only divided at their heads they could in theory only get one cutiemark. Far into adulthood the two still didn’t have one since they couldn’t ever agree on anything they liked or wanted to do. Dhahabu on the the other hand claimed themself as non-binary and found a love for herbs, plants, and gardening and had gotten their cutiemark fairly young. And their extra set of legs made digging so much easier. If there was anything Orabella and Ophira agreed on, it was that their fusion sister had gotten it easier. Their abnormality helped them while they wished they each had their own body.
