Structure: Short, like his mom, and stubby like how his father was. Is slightly bigger and bulkier than his sister, Jade.

Occupation: As of now, guard training for the new militia of Twilight’s Kingdom (still a new thing XP. Tempest thought of it. It’s pretty bootleg as of now, but they’ll figure it out). Will eventually learn that the military isn’t for him and that acting was all along.

BACKGROUND & PERSONALITY

In a somewhat gloomy family of his, with his sulking mother, Rarity, and his edgy sister, Onyx, there has to be that one animated member to lighten up the mood, if not to make things seem less boring. Thus, Ignatius so happened to be that member, and is quite fond of it. He likes to be over dramatic, arrogant (in more of an ironic way, kinda like Trixie), and positive. Very much the opposite of his twin sister. His dramatic nature may make him seem pitiful or weak, when in fact, that’s just him overacting, hoping to put in satire during miserable moments. Sure, Ignatius may be scared of the smallest things (exs. Bugs) or may be a coward in most situations, but his arrogance and optimism gets him far enough before he quits. But don’t think he’s too fearful of the world, he loves socializing and having the company of others. In actuality, he also enjoys the thrill of traveling and trying new things that are daring. It just seems that at the last second he regrets his decision and finally high-tails it out of there. The only thing he’s not afraid of is the stage and public speaking.

Like I said, being the only male in his household with two moody mares can get a bit grueling and boring. Sure, he enjoys the times with his sister but she’s more mature and independent now. He wants to be like that, “mature and independent”. He can’t always be following in his sister’s shadow, so why not cast his own. But, this idea gets thrown out the window as he instantly starts following somepony else, that pony now being Solar Flare (Sunburst and Starlight’s son). You see, Iggy is a very optimistic guy, like I said, and also easily convinced and entertained. No biased worldview or constructive criticism, just head empty and go with whatever (in hopes it doesn’t get him killed XP). Big flaw of his, as Iggy sometimes becomes loyal to bad influences, especially towards males or iron-willed individuals. Because, well, Spike exists but not constantly in his presence, and “attempts” to teach him how to be a man in such a diverse world (admittedly, Spike gets embarrassed trying to explain certain topics), but Iggy doesn’t buy it and finds somebody else to learn from. Well at least Solar isn’t all that bad compared to Iggy’s previous influencers (one of them actually giving him his scar), but Iggy needs to learn independence and become his own leader. At least he’s a great assistant (gets it from his DAD -_-).

His arrogant, self-centered and snazzy traits fuels his expressive dramatic personality. He’s more of a boaster that spits nonsense out of their a$$ about themselves, but then it turns out they’re a lying wuss XD. But this just makes him all the more comical and entertaining, fitting for an actor you could say. He’s aware of this and does it all on purpose for his own amusement. Because of this, when somepony calls him out for being too this or that and a charlatan, he’s not phased by it and wholeheartedly agrees, then just continues with his shenanigans. Another flaw of his as some people may not know if he’s playing or not. If he keeps it up, he may be the boy that cried “wolf”. This trait may get annoying to some, but regardless, he’s a delight to have.

RELATIONSHIPS

☆Rarity: His poor momma. During her saddest moments, he tries all he can to cheer her up, which delights her greatly. But after a while, she gets all sulky again. He hates seeing her so downcasted and would like whatever troubles her occasionally to scurry away. His sister is obviously the bigger help when it comes to these things, because, even though he lives with them, he still doesn’t 100% understand females. Besides that, he loves his mother, and she’s ever so grateful to have him and his sister. (Don’t worry, Rarity will get better soon ;w; ).

☆Spike: Unlike Jade, Ignatius sees Spike as a fantastic dad and enjoys the many trips he has taken with him. Though Spike’s not the greatest with advice (due to remembering his past mistakes), he makes an attempt and basically says, “Please just don’t end up like me. Always have protection and plan for a family. Nevertheless, I love you all immensely”. Iggy vaguely understands what Spike tries to say, as Spike is too ashamed to go into details. Rarity told Jade the full story but not Iggy, as she’s too afraid that he may view Spike in a different way (like how Jade does), especially since they’re father and son. She just doesn’t want that bond to be broken. Anyways, Ignatius is too small-brained to piece anything together XP. Admittedly, Iggy is kinda jealous of the relationship his half-brother Glint has with Spike, but he doesn’t let it control him. Through and through, he thinks his dad is cool and he loves him. If they had more time together, I’d believe that Iggy would follow right behind him.

☆ Jade (Onyx): His overprotective sister that he loves dearly. She may be a bit of a Debbie Downer and “edgy” to where he then has to cheer up the mood a little, but besides that, she’s the best! He’s glad to have her help toughen him up and keep him protected. And when they do, they have a great time. Their sibling bond is immeasurable, as they’ll support each other in everything they do. ^^

☆Solar Flare: Iggy’s third influencer, lol. Flare is a strong-willed inspirational stallion, and Iggy couldn’t help but to follow him. For Flare, Iggy may be too friendly for his liking, but he also doesn’t mind having a loyal assistant at his right hand… Yes, assistant XD. Ignatius will go broke trying to please him, help him with any hardships and do anything he says and does. Solely because this time, Iggy may have a crush on him, and sees him as an admirable guy to follow and spoil.

EXTRA

☆ If it wasn’t obvious, he loves romantic, tragedy or drama plays, musicals and poetry, especially the classics (Shakespeare 👀). He tends to sing, hum or whistle songs at random, and he’s naturally pretty good at it too. So, if he were to ever have a singing role during his acting career, he would be very well suited. He also may tend to reenact moments and quotes from the classics as well.. (Admittedly, Iggy might’ve rubbed off a bit onto Onyx when it comes to this. She shamelessly enjoys musicals, plays, and poems too).

☆Actually used to be in drama and choir in his youth. Honestly, he doesn’t know why he quit. As of now, he sort of sees acting as a far out of reach dream, and tries to move onto more grounded things that’ll make him more notable like the military. He has tried to attempt to get himself out there at a young age (also through monthly poetry contests), but the media never caught on. So he got pretty discouraged (to be such an optimistic guy. But that’s his passion, and not being known for it can be disheartening). But don’t worry, like I said, in the future he’ll get his role. ^^

☆ The first impression that ponies have of him when they see him is a scary hybrid kirin, only due to the nasty scar on his right eye. They just feel very intimidated when they see that. They’ll be surprised to find out who he truly is. X)

☆If I’m being honest, I think he also likes to have cool friends with him so he can show off his acting skills in hopes that they notice him.

☆I can imagine him sharing a similar energy and voice to Prince Naveen from Prince and the Frog.

☆ I’m going to tell you now, Garble and Ember’s rowdy son, Inferno, gave Ignatius his scar. “I was just playing!,” Inferno exclaimed….. (I’m surprised that Iggy didn’t develop trust issues). Inferno did get his booty kicked by Jade though.
