Oh hello Crisis suit magic
Sorta, though Apple Bloom would need an armor style just like with the Crysis suits.
Actually read a fan fic once with that as a concept. Basically, this extremely advanced earth magic, where an earth pony could form basically a lava golem and merge with it. Almost like magical power armor.
Was really cool idea, but the fic itself never really used it for much beyond some world-building, alas.
