Gilbert is a young adult Griffon from Griffinstone. He’s the namesake grandson of Grandpa Gilbert and works as a merchant. For the longest time, he has held on to a pipe dream of finding a relic, so historical and precious (as he puts it), that would put even the Idol of Boreas to shame, and in doing so, restore pride and glory to all of griffonkind. He himself recognises that the likelihood of this happening is very small but he insists that it’s not an impossibility. He finds some small amusement in his journeys and has been making a fairly good living off of selling the various knickknacks he discovers over the course his travels. If by “knickknacks”, he means “whatever I found lying by the side of the road”.
