That would have honestly been quite interesting to see. Hopefully there will be some nods to norse mythos in the upcoming G5 series, as that could add more depth to the world of Equestria. Also, if Twilight was always meant to be an Earth pony in the rebooted concept, then it does make sense why Sunny was also an Earth pony. They just changed some of the original characters while retaining their personality traits.

It’s an artist depiction. This is just Twilight replaced Sunny in a current G5 setting.

The only one that was planned early on was Twilight being an earth pony, The earth ponies are based from or inspired from the Celtic/Vikings. Her bracer doesn’t have any known use or if it is a tool. That is also an artist depiction

So…if this is actually based on the concept art for G5, then Twilight was originally planned to have etherial wings and a horn much like Sunny does in the final product? Or is that something that was created by this artist?
