Even Rainbow Dash hasn’t had any issues dressing up nicely. She can get bored, like in season 1, and prefer something that looks cooler. But she still accept things that are fancy and cute. (But in later seasons, she has become undeveloped and started disliking cute stuff. Becoming more of a one-dimensional stereotype).
Dolled up tomboys are awesome
Tomboy taming is a bit more of a behavior modification thing, there’s an element of a tomboy being cajoled or coerced into acting either girly girly and/or traditionally feminine. It does usually include making them wear cute dresses though
