Those are loose terms nowadays that are thrown around like candy nowadays, especially on Social Media

I mean, this fandom isn’t without flaws. There’s a lot of racists and Nazis who flex their hatred through our fandom and give us all a bad name. So we’re automatically labeled a hate group.

Being serious, I was just joking around when I made that post, I don’t think the series ruined itself. I do think it declined in quality somewhat over the years but I’m not as harsh to the later seasons as a lot of people are and I can definitely acknowledge the good stuff from them. On-topic, it just looks like another generic WatchMojo list that I don’t care about.

I can’t say I agree with you on that. 90% of everyone here has TDS anyway, so I usually ignore any unfair confirmation bias against the Right. (I’m centrist)

Not to mention, this show was a juggernaut. It concluded after a nine year run with nine seasons and a conclusive finale rather than being cut short. It had a feature length film that grossed ten times what it cost to make, spawned like a dozen side series, and a manga AND comic adaptation that are still going. It had a massively successful merchandising campaign. It went on to spawn a new generation that already has had a feature length film which was a gigantic financial and critical success and will lead into two separate cartoon series and a holiday special. All the while it maintained an active fanbase of men, women, children, and adults from all over the world that is still going strong to this day. Also, it had a gigantic effect on pop culture and played an immeasurable role in popularizing the idea of kids shows or “girl shows” that could be enjoyed by people of any age or gender. By what possible metric was it “ruined?” I’ll take YouTube videos written by a guy who’s only research was a 2 year old sensationalist clickbait article for $100, Alex XD

Eh. MLP did have an odd attraction of alt-right, and the fandom has been rather reluctant to condemn said deplorables.

Thank god the show staff themselves didn’t give a flying Yay about that subset, but this is one of those “Not Wrong” cases.

This was the reason. Literally out of every argument they could’ve provided, they chose this pig to roast.

I wouldn’t listen to anything Watchmojo says. This is more “bronies are racist” shit. MLP wasn’t ruined by fans. It was ruined by a stupid plot twist in the finale.
