There can only be one princess in Equestria…
and that princess will be ME!
First piece of 2021 and this one took ages omfg. I’ve had the idea an designs for human versions of Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker since November, and I started on this one towards the end of December thus creating a very long and tedious process of bringing her to life.
I changed her design at least 10 times but I finally am happy with her palette and design. Honestly there are a lot of imperfections however I don’t care. Sometimes you are going to have artwork you hate or are never satisfied with.
Anyway hello everyone, last I updated was mid-November so it’s been over two months since I’ve done something as elaborate as this. I haven’t been inspired to do miraculous stuff lately since the fandom is dead quiet because we haven’t been fed content for so longggg.
My lack of activity means that I’m a bit out of practice with my drawing abilities so I’m going to be focusing on fulfilling my desire to draw miraculous OCs on my amino. I go back to uni at the end of February, so my plan is to organise myself and actually work on my projects. This does include My Favourite Things comic and my fan fiction stories that I want to finish. So stay tuned and I’m going to try my best to not overwork myself or become bored with my projects!
MY GOAL IS TO BE AT LEAST A QUARTER OF A WAY THROUGH MY FAV THINGS COMIC BY THE END OF THE YEAR.

So there are refs to both, such as her staff being a broken lantern instead of her normal one. I wanted Luna’s design to be ethereal goddess and Nightmare moon’s to be an evil queen/warrior. Luna isn’t prepared for a fight in her gown and jewels but NM is. Her hair by fair is my favourite thing, from Luna’s veil like starry night hair to NM’s wildly flowing Milky Way galaxy hair it’s a drastic change that emulates the level of chaotic energy and power she has. Like she has a lot of power but control is not a word in NM’s vocab.
