The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

@BigMax
The reason some artists improve is because they actively try to improve (otherwise your only practising drawing something the same way), but all that hard work seems like a lot of hassle to me.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

@Enkidu
I’m reading this only now.

It’s not like being Anbx or #1 or whatever.
I’ve seen Jose Ramiro’s efforts at art for months. More than a year, I think, and I’ve never said anything, let alone pestered him. One would expect that his art is either good, or it improved quite a bit meanwhile.
Heck, even some top-notch artists we regularly see here managed to improve (like Glanco or Ninjaham, for example).

But Jose Ramiro never did. Not even a bit. I could see the efforts, but the results have always been unpleasant the exact same way. At some point I gave up waiting for improvements and hid his tag. Yes, I hide what I don’t like and never give a fuss about that, because I know there are people with different tastes.

My opinion is that if your art needs serious improvements, and despite your efforts it’s never got any for months, you either need some art lessons or just give up, because it’s clearly not your thing. I’m sorry for him and the backlash he suffered, but there’s a reason for that.

This is, by far, the longest thing I’ve ever said about Jose Ramiro, and I’d have kept it for myself if it wasn’t for your reply.

My comment may have been rude, but at that time I thought I didn’t like the subject of boxing humanized ponies. It turned out it just had to be done better.

Gee, leave Jose Ramiro alone, people like you making a deal out of him not being the #1 most talented artist left him feeling down in the dumps. Eventually his friends pestered him enough and he requested that all his work be removed from here.

We can’t all be Anbx, but Jose still does as much as he can to draw for his followers and to provide a massive slab of MLP boxing art for everyone who just needs to see something new.

Will people in this fandom never appreciate that too much criticism makes an artist feel their work is worthless or something that they would have been better not doing? Because almost artistic contribution to the fandom brings us something new and is certainly better than had we not had that contribution at all.
