Well, I mean by the time he’s gotten up to the royal palace where the show is at, Hitch has already made his way through the entire city below and easily saw many Pegasi in the process. Though the significance of this moment for him is that this is the first time he’s seen one flying is what I mean.

That could be the case, yeah. I kinda wish they would’ve made that intention clearer though. It’s an interesting idea that Hitch, who has been raised to fear the idea of seeing a pegasus, is actually in awe at the sight.
‘Cause I feel like you could easily make the ‘it’s shipping fuel’ argument. It’s a common trope for the love interest of a good singer to stop and stare at them sing. It’s even more egregious with Hitch and Pipp, since A New Generation doesn’t have any explicit romance, thus the scene isn’t as necessary to the plot as it’d be in a romance movie.

I knoooooow, that’s what I’m thinking!! I don’t necessarily think they’ll be canon—it wouldn’t be the first time Hasbro hints at or gives fuel to a ship and then drops it (looks at Sciset, Rarijack, Flashimmer, and Gallstream). But scenes like these give me so much hope!! ❤

We could reasonably assume for the first one that, since it’s the first time he sees a Pegasus flying that that’s what has him in awe. I mean, Sunny and Izzy were also in awe as well when seeing Queen Haven and her daughters flying for the first time.

It’s like a fluffy pink cloud. With a phone.

Interesting indeed. The only reason I would do something like that is to foreshadow at least an attraction.
