DM: *PREVIOUSLY, IN EQUESTRIA…*
Discord GM: Oho, this is gonna be good!
DM: Discord had succeeded in turning Ponyville into the chaos capital of the world. And, foreseeing that the Elements of Harmony might rebuild their friendship, he put some extra protections in place. Discord turned Ponyville into a nexus of random alternate realities, making it nigh-impossible for anyone to hunt down his throne world and take him down. However, the Elements of Harmony recovered and regrouped faster than Discord expected. Thus, they were able to localize and isolate Discord’s chaos magic to just Ponyville. In giving up their hometown, they bought the rest of Equestria a little more time.
Discord GM: Wha– Now hold on!
Rainbow Dash: BWA-hahaha!
Discord GM: This is ridiculous. Pulling one over on the Lord of Chaos? When he has had a thousand years to anticipate every move?! Surely Discord would have noticed that he’s been sequestered away in a city-sized cage by now!
DM: Oh, Discord would have noticed very easily, and he could have probably reversed it. But that’s only IF he took his victory spree of chaos shenanigans outside of Ponyville’s city limits. Outside of the protective dimensional labyrinth he’d built for himself. Out where he would be more vulnerable to getting turned to stone by the Elements of Harmony. Why risk that when he can wait for them to come to him and have all the fun he wants in the meantime?
