Background Pony #B244
I don’t know why, but this one just got me.
Warning: Implied grimdark.

“Don’t worry! It will only sting for a second…”
Twilight, feeling the fork nestle into her fur and its tines touch her skin, began to panic, nudging in place as best she could.
“Wait, no, Fluttershy - stop, you can’t..!”
“It’s okay, I’m just gonna let some out, so you can shrink back again!”
Fluttershy began leaning pressure into the fork, little by little, creating a crease in Twilight’s surface - and accelerating Twilight’s panic, her face flushing red.
“Fluttershy, stop!! You can’t just ‘let some out’, not with a puncture that small! I’ll burst! I’ll POP! It’ll kill me!!”
The force behind the utensil continued to increase, steadily deepening the fold forming around its prongs, and starting four identical dents into Twilight’s skin proper.
“…I know.”
As Fluttershy’s blush reddened, Twilight gave a tiny gasp of surprise, trying in vain to turn her head towards her flank, as if seeing her friend would allow her to somehow change that reply. Yet, vision blocked by her already massive size, and no sign of relent from Fluttershy’s actions - the sting in her hind leg worsening as the four points dug deeper into her skin - her mind froze as she had to accept what she’d heard.
Fluttershy took her time pushing the fork in, edging Twilight’s surface toward its breaking point. She watched with one eye, the other still closed in preparation, as she almost matched the rate at which Twilight continued to swell. She nuzzled against Twilight’s pressurized flank, careful to keep the fork steady, and slipped her ear down against the side of her head to protect her hearing from the eventual sound.
She felt the utensil reach a point of maximum resistance, the tension on Twilight’s form at its peak in that location, and her grip tightened on the other mare. Just in case.
“Goodbye, Twilight.”
Twilight Sparkle didn’t respond, teeth clenched and every limb tucked as tightly as possible, expecting each next second to be her inevitable end.
