Description
This picture is my contribution to the Canterlot Wedding 10th Anniversary. It is also my first artwork released publicly. Unfortunately, this version is only a sketch because the finished artwork would not have been ready on time to meet the event’s deadline.
The depicted scene is the starting point for a number of comic projects I have been working on for years. It takes place after seasons 9 and 10 in an alternative (yet “figuratively” canon-abiding) reality seen from the perspective of Queen Chrysalis and her hive.
There is a lot to criticize about my handling of digital painting in this sketch, but I’m working hard on improving.

Well then it will be interesting to see the implementation of your ideas.
Ah, I didn’t strictly write “canonical”; I meant “canon-abiding” as in “figuratively”.
In this “reality”, everything that you ever witnessed happening in the show remains figuratively true to “eye”, but the “eye” is easily deceived by subjective interpretation.
On a crime scene, your eyes may have witness a certain person committing a crime, and that person may indeed go down into history as the alleged criminal… but that “alleged criminal” may, in fact, have been falsely or inaccurately framed, all along. That’s the kind of situation this “reality” depicts.
