Geoff is a young Griffon from Griffinstone and the son of Gabby and Spike. He’s also the younger triplet brother of Glare and Giggle.

Not so long after Gallus and Grandpa Gruff made amends with each other after their argument nearly four years ago, Gallus and Spike found the courage to propose to their girlfriends, Silverstream and Gabby, with a little help from their friends and family. Gallus’ proposal took place during a tryst next to the beach, while Spike proposed to Gabby during a date in “Power Ponypalooza”, a Power Ponies convention. The girls reacted with pure joy, both crashing their fiancés with hugs and kisses. The two couples decided to have a double wedding, which took place in Mount Aris.

A few months later, Silverstream and Gabby were pregnant (Silverstream was pregnant for a second time; Galicia was a few years old)! They were both squeeing about how they were expecting babies and kept squeeing, while Gallus and Spike’s jaws were on the floor. The two had many uncertainties and believed they wouldn’t be good enough to be fathers (and Gallus didn’t expect to have another baby), but with some encouragement from their beloved consorts, they put away the doubts and decided to enjoy every moment of this. Gabby gave birth to three Griffon-Dragon hybrids, two boys and a girl. With the help of Ocellus, Twilight, and A LOT of books about rare non-pony species and hybrids, Gabby and Spike discovered that the three bundles of joy were “Zilants’’, also known as simply “Dracogriffs”. According to their findings, like many other dragon hybrids, Zilants resemble their non-draconic parent more in their silhouette and general build. Like Griffons, their colors tend towards the more natural-looking and earthy. They tend to have a similar color pool to dragons, scales on their backsides, horns, spines, dragon-like tails, with feathers on the ends, wings that switch from feathers to skin halfway down, and draconic bird talons (meaning they look mostly like bird talons, but are shaped similarly to dragon claws). These hybrids are capable of breathing magical dragon fire, although their bodies are much less flame-proof than a full-blooded dragon’s, but are still able to take in hot temperatures despite their feathers. Spike was happy to hear that because that meant he could take his children to the Dragon Lands without worrying they’ll get hurt by the lava.

The youngest triplet was a little boy that was as healthy and full of life as his siblings. Just like them, he looked like his mother in body shape, but had the wings and tail of her father. Just like Gallus and Silverstream’s kids, Gabby and Spike’s triplets weren’t named right away. After spending a few days without the kid being properly named, the married Griffon/ Dragon couple decided to name him “Geoff”.

Geoff takes after his dad, admitting to also admiring his own reflection in a mirror when nobody else is around and liking wearing an apron. When Gabby introduced her triplets to her Cutiemark Crusader friends, Scootaloo suggested giving them to try some of the pasta and potato sandwich on sourdough she’d brought for lunch, which later became Geoff’s favourite food. Just like Spike, he loves to chow down on the cold creamy goodness of chocolate and strawberry ice cream, often ignoring Auntie Twi and Grandpa Gruff’s lecturing about “stomach ache” and “eating healthier food”. Geoff is also rather grabby and shrewd (something Grandpa Gruff rascally taught him to be), especially when it comes to bits, rocks and shells in interesting shapes, sizes, and colors, and small relics and special items (ex. whistles) he finds on the street, that he collects in a small trunk. Sometimes, he uses them to decorate various arts and crafts he makes. He really likes reading about the different things he finds. He also drops around various snacks for “a special occasion”, something that his siblings find disgusting, while he thinks it’s opportunistic. Uncle Gallus and Grandpa Gruff have the same opinion. Geoff has a very strong stomach and can consume just about anything. It’s obvious that Geoff has inherited his dad’s appetite and strong stomach, just like his brother, Glare. Much like his honorary cousins, Geoff and his family don’t really have a stable house, for they go back and forth to Ponyville, Griffinstone, and, sometimes, the Dragon Lands, Canterlot, and the Crystal Empire - though they mostly go to the latter three for vacation. However, Gabby and Spike are planning to have a house between the territories of their hometowns to be closer to their friends and families. Geoff especially likes Ponyville, since his favourite event takes place there. His favourite holiday is Nightmare Night because he likes how foals dress up in costumes and all of the festival activities. It’s also the day when ponies practically give candy for free, something that Geoff is all over. Plus, the opportunity to read with Auntie Twilight when she’s not in Canterlot. He also likes going to Griffinstone, for there are many relics to find and put in his collection. Out of Grandpa Gruff’s stories, Geoff’s top three favourite are the one about Grover’s crown, the one about Gregor and the Royal Éclairs*, and the one about the Idol of Boreas (even if it’s old and tragic). Geoff may be the youngest triplet, but he’s definitely a very bright cub that’s eager to learn (*Proud Aunt Twilight squeeing*).

*Based on a My Little Pony book: The Journal of the Two Sisters. Gregor is the leader of a Griffon colony and rival of Commander Hurricane. He challenges Hurricane to a race, but he gives up when Princesses Celestia and Luna give him some eclairs. He has a sweet tooth.
