We’ve discussed that on IRC, both public and privately, and the issue is what do we put inside a “fetish” tag. There are dozens upon dozens of fetishes out there and us saying one fetish is more worthy of being filtered out than another is a freaking powderkeg and a bitch to maintain.
 
Quick example: bondage, feet, tentacles, nekorare, inflation, crossdressing, excessive juices, femdom, diapers, vore, tickling; which ones from that short list do we put under a global hide/spoiler “fetish tag” and which ones do we not, and why?
 
The default spoilers should be covering the above well enough for when they go from “kind of weird” to “kinky”. And if they’re bothered that much by it they can go get an account and filter it.

You could make a Fetish tag.  
The fact that Explicit (even Grotesque!) has auto-hide but vore or scat does not is not logical.  
For example, diaper and poo usually acquires a massive number of downvotes. By your logic everyone should be piling up tags for that stuff, but I say a simple Fetish tag that would be a lot better solution. Especially as Anons/visitors always see those images.

I freely admit to downvoting certain things whenever I see them that I could probably filter. But 1. Stuff I like might get caught in the crossfire (which is why I spoiler but don’t hide fluffy ponies, grotesque and pointless crossovers) and 2. Because I’m petty and think some stuff should be downvoted. And 3. hypocritical revenge for stuff I like that gets auto-downvoted.

All right, about downvotes.
 
There are 3 people on the site with the goal of being anti-roboshi, though sometimes their spread is random (but estimate of about 3/4th coverage). ie. on most images you can discard 3 downvotes as being from them downvoting simply because they can.
 
Then we have a host of people that don’t know how to filter things they don’t like, or don’t want to. There are multiple people that will consistently downvote images containing character X, ship Y, theme/fetish Z, etc rather than just filter them.
 
Basically, don’t care about downvotes unless it’s a rather large number. Too many trash downvoters.

Eh, I have pics with more downvotes then this personally. 2 isn’t so bad.
 
This isn’t as “bad” as some stuff I’ve seen personally. She looks more like a Flutterball.

At first, people were okay with inflation.  
Now, they just downvote it when a picture of it comes up.
