I don’t know when that happened. Then again, my knowledge of FiM is very foggy.
Also, I wasn’t a fan of Scootaloo myself, so that is likely influencing what I say.
Either way, I think Sunny is getting a lot more attention than Scootaloo ever did. That should make her proud.

She was never a very prominent character in the show. Sure, none of the CMCs were ‘main characters’, but even among them she wasn’t all that prominent. I wasn’t trying to suggest that she was bullied-far from it-but she was not a core focus of the series, or even the leader of the CMC (that role goes to Apple Bloom).

When was Scootaloo ever portrayed as an outcast? The closest thing I can recall was her being teased over her condition in “Flight to the Finish” and even that was just a a couple of bullies trying to psych her out to win some competition where the CMCs were the obvious favorite, not her being ostracized from pony society at large.

The fact that she rides around on roller blades (similar to Scootaloo’s scooter) and has small Alicorn wings (at least initially) would suggest this. Personally I want this to be true, since it would really help expand Scootaloo as a character, making her less of an outcast than she was in FiM.

I have a feeling it is. I am sure the writers knew about the humorous visual similarities between Sunny and Scootaloo, so why not go all in and give her tiny wings as well?
