You clearly missed my comment where I told everyone who wants to like G5 OBVIOUSLY can. You are just being antagonistic. Cool your jets.
I did. It’s pretty clear that you’re PO’d because you head canon got destroyed. That’s all.
Rules change over time, and within franchises, rules change to keep the franchise fresh. That’s life. Sorry for your loss.
Edited because: softenned
Your comment clearly shows you didn’t read the thread.
Welcome to real life Bub. You build stuff up, and then you die, just like Twilight Sparkle. Deal with it and let people enjoy their ponies.
That’s not entirely true. G4 did get me into ponies and G5 gave me a better journey. Besides, I dropped out after season 8.

Mild? G5 literally goes “LMAO all of G4 was useless and everything the ponies did was pointless. You wasted 10 years of your life sticking with this show.”
Meh. Any franchise that moves into the future has to do some retconning. See Klingons.
Or a spell. Point is they don’t seem to notice something off about her. Like they heard of 5 alicorn princesses. There is no 6th alicorn unless they’re really that blind or they think alicorns are normal and the occurrences of one.
Again, G4 was already having trouble keeping track of the rules it put in place in the last three seasons, hence why it needed to end when it did.
Not to mention that G5 hardly follows G4’s rules
SOME G4 fans will watch G5 and enjoy it at a surface level, but those same people don’t really know or care about continuity errors in G4, so I wasn’t really meaning them. They enjoy G5, more power to ya.
Isn’t it a stretch to say not one G4 fan likes G5? Not everyone will agree with what you said about that.
The root is that no world building was done. See, G4 had an issue, which was that the longer the series ran, the more writers would leave, thus more new writers would be brought in and VERY FEW of these writers got these two super important memos:
1: The show has a hard continuity, there is no reset button at the end of the episode.
2: WATCH and digest all the events that have happened through the series up to this point.
Dude just say you don’t like G5 and leave.
Unfortunately the problem goes much deeper than that, here are the writers of the show and the comics who don’t know what they’re doing and who don’t know enough about the characters and the lore as they should…
Hasbro’s big problem is that it hasn’t been able to find the right people for that and hasn’t bothered in the least to check that everything is proceeding in a right way.

Why IS G5 such a small and insignificant world?
You can have good villains and good worldbuilding, but Hasbro always messes that up.
They have to work with little given that G5 is a small world. The best they did was made Opaline’s situation ambigious.
Its comics athat can’t handle characters and lore. Make your Mark and Tell Your Tale doing a better job and i already like throw away characters getting shipped like Haven and Alphabittle than Cadence and Shining. Or Villains staying villains and accomplishing their goals like Opaline than Sombra or Glimmer that get destroyed or reform after first encounter with the good guys.
That’s basically all of G5 in a nutshell.
Very likely theory. Did they forget Chrysalis did the same to unicorns, when she’s not one herself? They both simply have knowledge on Equestria’s hierarchy.
