The main threat to the army is a conscript soldier who has too much free time.
A soldier should always be busy with something.
For example, using shovels to bring snowdrifts into a square shape. Sew white rags under the shirt collar every day (this stuff was canceled, however …). Or work manually with shovels for several days where one bulldozer could easily cope in a couple of hours.
In general, a conscript should always be exhausted so that some very “funny” idea doesn’t come into his young and bored head.
