Why are you insulted for speaking only in Russian?
A simple answer would be that war demonises the invader. In this case, Russia into Ukraine.
Now suddenly everyone has a reason to be angry at their newfound enemy. Including their language.
And YOU are stuck RIGHT the middle of two conflicting sides. Most likely being told to “pick a side” when you most likely do not want to.
If you speak Ukrainian: “Oh you are Ukraine.”
If you speak Russian: “Oh you are Russian.”
People are terribly narrow from perception. And war will make that worse. Much worse.

Без понятия о чём вы, я не слышал и не встречал подобного. Да и встретить человека симпатизирующего россиянам(тут есть небольшая разница. “Русский” тот кто просто говорит на русском, “россиян” гражданин России) не так легко учитывая ситуацию…
Да, были случаи когда арестовывали но не за “симпатию к россиянам” а за диверсии и т.п. но были они в разных частях страны а не только в Харькове и таких случаев в масштабе страны не так много. И конечно специально облавами никто не занимается, у всех сейчас есть гораздо более важные проблемы, а задерживают тогда когда поступает информация о нарушении.
