Well, she pretty much is. Sure, they look similar, but Fluttershy is very meek and kindhearted, whereas Posey is very bold and very unforgiving. Also, Fluttershy loves to care for animals (hence her butterfly cutie mark) whereas Posey cares for plants (hence her flower cutie mark). So yes, I think a ‘bad twin’ would be a fitting description of how G5 Posey compares to G4 Fluttershy.

I really don’t think they are going to be doing that at all. Frankly I feel like they aren’t going into her past simply because they don’t feel like they really need to. Maybe they will show it in the G5 series, as that has longer episodes, but I wouldn’t know until I see it.

yeah and even after when the unity crystals granted earth ponies the ability to grow any species of plants (instantly, i might add) she’s still treated like this, haven’t she gotten enough mistreatment already?
Part of me wonders if she brought it onto herself. Her jealousy led to her bullying many other ponies early on, and it’s going to take her a while to fully reconcile for her past actions
