The Internet is like the wild west. Trying to force people to watch ads on YouTube is only going to affect those that aren’t very determined. So yeah if somebody’s not interested in taking some time to solve the problem of having to see annoying ads every single time they want to watch something, then yeah I guess that person is stuck.

To all the adblocker smart guys, i’m pretty sure this image is referring to mobile, where, last time i checked, setting up an adblocker is quite the pain and still doesn’t work half the time. The exception being the official Adblock Browser, but isn’t that commonly installed sitting at only 10m downloads (compared to Youtube’s 10b)

How about videos that, after ten minutes of pointless drivel, throw in an ad for, well, whatever effect they’re looking for, then spend maybe thirty seconds on their point before adding another ten minutes of pointless drivel?

Use an alternative app.
I use NewPipe, but you’ll have to set subscriptions up again and playlists don’t work well
but there’s no ads, you have full permanent control over video quality and it runs much better overall.
