Posey is like the only sane person in a world of crazies. Everything she complains about is real. She wants to live a quiet peaceful life taking care of her garden. Also if you care to pay attention, she works hard to keep Maretime Bay nice and clean, and she always helps out in a serious situation.
It makes me sad to see Posey so misunderstood. She’s probably my favorite secondary character.

Posey’s entire character is based on her one mane series appearance. TYT, like IDW’s adaptation, is a side project and the writing is solely dependent on ANG and MYM for character details.
Yes, I know Posey became five times less bitchy and racist the last twenty seconds of her last focused role. Maybe they thought this version of her personality was more amusing. :D

The weird thing about Posey acting like a Karen is that we usually see her hound Hitch. Karens are mostly known for hounding minimum-wage workers and passerbys, but Hitch is a reputable sheriff + a hero of Equestria + friends with at least three powerful, influential ponies. Plus he paid-off his own mortgage, so unless if he was born into wealth, Hitch really isn’t a minimum wage worker. Kinda weird he’s the one the writers have Posey pick on.
