But, as you are the artist, you should know that on this site the description is not really meant to be a bulletin board for the opinions of the artist, and images like this really should be posts in the forums - not images on this site.

Instead of deleting this for Rule #3 - obligatory pony for the purpose of creating a thread to discuss something or express your opinion - I’m just going to lock the comments and clean up the description and the debate in the comments related to off-site drama and personal conflicts that are entirely unrelated to the image itself.

Please, do create a profile here if you would like to talk about this, and send me a PM.

What the hay is happening?
Some people like G1, and some people don’t. And that’s okay. It doesn’t mean they’re “jealous” of the Williams or something.
Some people like EqG, and some people don’t. And that’s okay. It doesn’t mean they have to stay quiet about it and keep their opinions to themselves. Don’t get your mane in a tangle if someone criticizes something you don’t like.
…And so on for all the other points you’re arguing about. Just because someone disagrees with your opinion about a cartoon doesn’t mean they’re attacking you.

One thing I forgot to say about the “Bad fans” is also those who attack other fans or even those who are outside the fandom.

Bad and good are based on a individual’s opinion, the reason there is a good and bad side, is because some people draw a line and state these people are bad and these are good, dividing the group in two, introducing animosity into the fandom, so saying that your “on the good side” just means you are one of these people, and a part of the problem.

This is what happens when people stop practicing or forget the shows lessons.

I was all on board for your thoughts on G1. It had potential, but it needed some polishing. I’d like to hear more on how you would improve G3, as I have some thoughts of my own on that.

As for G4, I’m less convinced. I don’t think there was an obvious decline in quality; there were bad episodes early on (“The Last Roundup”) and good ones later on (“Frenemies”). Certainly one thing got undeniably worse later on, and that was the increasing theme of colonialism and pony supremacy. But that’s offset by early problems like Spike abuse and initially shallow characterization.

One point you make particularly concerns me: You said you’d avoid doing anything controversial. So then, the series would become stagnant? Any big change would result in controversy, no matter what. Ultimately it was good that the show continued to change and evolve because otherwise it would have become repetitive. On that note, how could you cut out the last two seasons? There were plenty of worthwhile episodes in those seasons. And while it may not have been to your liking, at least the series did have an ending that provided an emotional climax and wrapped up the big themes of the show. Frankly, I think S9 would have ended stronger if they cut the epilogue episode and ended on “The Ending of the End.”

When you say “I am on the good side” it makes me automatically think you’re on the bad side.
