Yup, you see the nutshell of the Spike-related episodes from 2 different generations…
G1 had more of a message while G4 barely does.
So yeah this is somewhat of a filler drawing that I’ve thought in my head when I compare the two Spike-related episodes from the two generations…

Not really. But there are some or however many people who actually wished the episodes would be improved more.
Then again here’s some of the thing that some people (maybe including me) who happen to find in the episodes:
G1’s “Spike’s search” episode had:
  • Spike actually expressed a lot more and fearless.
  • Fighting back against the bullies by using a water to hold of their fire. (that’s really smart in a way)
  • There are some bullying involved but not as much.
  • The moral was more understandable.
G4’s “Dragon Quest” episode had:
  • Spike had feared and hurt never truly showed how he expressed. (Ember happen get Spike to help her, which is really kinda helped him but not as much)
  • Running way instead of fighting back. (Seems really dumb but kinda worked)
  • A lot of bullying was involved. Which making Spike to be the joke.
  • Fluttershy’s moral really explained how Spike stand up for himself. But still Spike really had been made fun of out of the ordinary which kinda makes it seem useless.
And yeah some fans find “Dragon Quest” to be the “universal hated episode”. So yeah…
