Description

Just a chart I put together of basic changeling stuff for a Roleplay event I did on Ashes Town! Thought someone would find it neat or useful, so I wanted to share it here!

taking a blood sample requires drilling
That’s what I thought at first, but then I realized that this can’t be true: if everything is hard exoskeleton, then how do changelings (or insects, for that matter) move?
In insect anatomy, the outer covering (cuticle) has 2 or 3 parts: the epicuticle, which is waxy and waterproof; the exocuticle, which is the hard and inflexible part; and the endocuticle, which is the fleshy and flexible part. Parts that are supposed to be able to move and flex generally don’t have an exocuticle covering. At those places, they are fleshy like us. So my conclusion is that one could extract hemolymph or inject substances at these places with no lasting damage.
