-Sweetie Belle is staying in the hospital for three days after she had a tonsillectomy. She’s just lucky to have two great friends who want to make sure she’s as comfortable as possible.
When I had my tonsils out, they told me I could have all the ice cream I wanted, and thn they never gave me any. But my throat was so sore even water was painful. I’m so old they were still using ether, and that dries your throat out and makes it even worse.
Epic bedmane is epic. :D
I’ve never had my tonsils out (though I’ve had tonsillitis a few times over the years), but when my dad had his out in the 60s, he got to stay in hospital for 2 days and was actually prescribed “as much ice-cream as he wants” by the doctor.
When my sister had hers out in the 90s, she was given some dry toast and sent home a couple of hours later.
And that’s how the NHS has changed over the years… xD

@MrThumbsup @gittonsxv
It’s not so bad - you recover in a fraction of the time than if you had ice cream, and your throat gets tougher as a result. Plus, I understand there’s all this crap that kinda “sticks” to the inside of your throat after the surgery, and toast does a way better job of getting rid of it. More info about it here.
@MrThumbsup
They don’t do that where I live anymore. They give you toast; the roughness smooths your throat faster - think sandpaper - and ice cream just slows your recovery, making your throat weaker for longer…
This is a duplicate but I’m wondering, why is the artist of the other one tagged as ‘niggerfaggot’ (no comment on that kind of name) yet the source is… not under that name on both?
Blasphemey! J/k

shrugs whatever.
“Tonsillectomy” according to the description. Hence the ice cream.

Steals it and makes a wallpaper out of it
