Well, botanically speaking, they’re fruits, but culinarily, I think they often get classified as vegetables because of their more savory flavor profile. Same with tomatoes.

I think there might be some foods that are botanically vegetables but often get classed as fruits because they’re sweeter, but I can’t think of them off the top of my head.
