In this AU, Sunburst has the role that Trixie has in the main continuity.

Sunburst is a stage musician that specializes in creating spectacles of light and illusions with his magic. His cocky and pompous attitude did not win him many fans when he first came to ponyville. Especially not to Starlight, who he kept trying to flirt with.

After an incident where he was scared away by an actual threat, he would return while under the influence of the “alicorn amulet” and would terrorize ponyville until Starlight managed to get said amulet off of him. He apologized later on and left for a few years, coming back and becoming fast friends with Starlight’s newest student, Twilight.
