Pumpkin.

I thought of this idea a few weeks ago but I’ve been getting absolutely destroyed by one of my university courses. Group projects make me cry, but at least I upped my record for longest time awake – 40 hours. Anyway here’s my submission for 12th anniversary. Keeping in tradition I come back from the dead (on Halloween this time too!) to post a single image for a derpi event at the very last minute, and then I will slink away again until the next event.

My latest change to my art has been an update shading style where it’s back to cell shading with a second pass for gradients. However, this time I’ve added a third pass to turn parts of the cell shade into gradients as well! I find it works nicely to make some good transitions from hard edges to soft edges. Another new thing is a separate gradient layer for wings, where each section has it’s own gradient. It looks kinda cool.
