My ponysona as candy zombie, inspired by the grimdark fic “Something sweet to bite”.

I feel like that story doesn’t get as much love as the other mlp horror ones and it’s a real shame. It’s not another story of “what if this character but crazy” but feels like an actual slasher story in the mlp world with it’s own villain and creative changes to the lore. I also like that the ponies become their own different candy zombies made of different kinds of sweets.

I love the design of the candy mare herself and her backstory is a very tragic one. Unlike “cupcakes” or “the experiments of twilight sparkle”, I actually feel for the monster and the characters actually act like themselves here. It is a bit slow and I wish they spent less time with the CMC and the bullies competition about getting candy but still a very creepy story.

I will say that I don’t like the sequel “home sweet home” much but it’s definitely a me thing. I like horror but I don’t like hopelessness. The original story didn’t have a happy ending but it had a small bit of hope with Luna being alive(and the chance of fluttershy and maybe rainbow dash too, i don’t remember). Also, Sunset just being there to die immediately. I’m just going to accept it as the “bad end” and not the “true end”.

Anyway, what kind of candy/sweets is Hay Meadow now made of?

The body is made of a soft purple candy, think taffy, starburst or airheads. Probably flavored like grape soda or maybe plum.

Eyes are hard candy, like spiral lollipops. Flavored with blue raspberry.

Teeth and horn are sharp hard candy. Horn is same flavor as the body and the teeth are mint flavored.

The hair and the cream part of the cutie mark is now actual pastry cream. It’s constantly dripping and oozing out, leaving a trail of sweet, vanilla flavored goo wherever she goes.
