When Rarity had told her new friend about her in-home design studio, she was hoping this would be an ideal opportunity for them to collaborate and work off each other’s ideas. But as impressively stylish as these designs were, Sassy was actually more stunned by the near-comical sizes they came in.
She turned towards her new friend who was just across the room looking through some boxes, perplexed by how such an obese young woman could’ve been so much fatter. “Uh… Rarity?” Sassy reluctantly began to ask as she pulled out a hefty, almost tarp-like set of clothes. “Can I ask you a personal question?”
“Sure, I suppose,” Rarity replied before looking up to see her guest, only to find her old music festival outfit blocking most of the view.
“Just how much bigger were you exactly?” Sassy asked from behind the brightly-colored garment.
The sight alone was so particularly absurd, Rarity had to stifle back a laugh. “If I told you, you wouldn’t believe me. Let’s just say it took a while for me to get used to this… condition of mine.”
“I see,” Sassy laughed awkwardly, eyes still wide as she put away the outfit and continued skimming through the rack. “I take it that it’s the same condition Vignette Valencia’s been having. Have you seen her posts lately?”
“Oh, I know! Didn’t think I’d be such a big influence on her,” Rarity remarked with a smirk.
Sassy smiled and nodded before quickly turning back to Rarity. “Wait. This condition of yours isn’t contagious, is it?”
“What? Oh, don’t worry about it! I can promise you that it’s not,” Rarity chuckled, trying to reassure her new friend. “Hopefully, at least,” she briefly and quietly added, as she wasn’t too sure herself.
“Hmm?”
“Oh. I said… uh…” Rarity stammered as she quickly reached for any random set of clothes. “Uh… hopefully these can help you get started,” she chuckled.
“Ooh, my!” Sassy smiled as she gazed upon the glittery pink dress.
“Glad you like it! Now, let’s see where we can go from here…”
