Moondancer and her wife, Sunburst. yes you heard that right, wife. read more about that here: Trans Ladies. Ive been going back and forth about her name and i think that pony names dont have the strong gendered conotations that human names do so i think shed keep it. anyways here we go!!!

Moondancer (she/her, cis, demiromantic bisexual) and Sunburst (she/her, trans woman, lesbian) are the two head librarians of the crystal empire royal library. Moondancer became the head librarian of the canterlot royal library shortly after reconciling with Twilight. After a few years, she was beginning to feel a bit stagnant and antsy, and twilight suggested she transfer to the crystal empire, subtly trying to set her up with their mutual friend, Sunburst. She made the move and the two of them became friends, but not too close. After a year or so of cordial co-worker-hood, Moondancer developed a bit of a crush. Sunburst was one of the few ponies that was similar to Moondancer at a core level. the two of them began to bond over their shared childhood dreams and failings, and their experiences of being overshadowed by purple unicorns.
This crush was shared by a shy and closeted Sunburst, who cared dearly for her friend Moondancer, and after a summer of pining and awkward ‘platonic lunch meetups’ they ended up together. with Moondancer and Cadence to support her, Sunburst came out and began to live at the mare she always felt like she was, and a beautiful hearths warming wedding followed soon after. Moondancer and Sunburst have two daughters now, Luster Dawn and Midnight Sun.
Many regular visitors to the crystal empire royal library think that Moondancer and Sunburst are bitter rivals, with straight laced Moondancer running the library’s resource desk and stacks, while Sunburst is a research advisor and leads the childrens library. Sunburst, can be seen playing pretend in the childrens section and making paper dolls, while Moondancer is shushing chatty university students. imagine the surprise of the library’s visitors when the two of them leave side-by-side every day to have lunch in the city square for all to see.
