I never really watched the YOGSCAST but seeing ponies in one of my favorite games made me freak out. It’s nice to see to some representation, and I never thought it would happen in Terraria. Just shows how open and awesome the team is.
Though it is weird they made a reference to that particular series since it’s so old.
Also spoiler but if you throw the Party Girl (who is a reference to Pinkie Pie) into the shimmer, her alt texture looks like Rainbow Dash! So awesome to see this stuff.
There are also some minor references to our beloved horses, like the Magician NPC showing skepticism to the idea of friendship being magic, and one of the possible names for the dryad NPC being Celestia (it’s been officially stated to be a reference to sun butt, despite it being a real name)
One last thing, this pony reference in the game is close to 10 years old. This is way back in 2013, and reason I’ve discovered Terraria
