i actually relate a lot to Sandbar in this episode, the fear of not being validated or being a “failure” to people you respect or just anyone you care of in general, a shame they didn’t focus more on Sandbar in the last two seasons, somewhat i feel he’s the most ignored one of the group(?, not only because the show doesn’t show him as much as the others, but because the other 4 students don’t care too much of him (minus yona ofc), you can see multiple times the other students hanging around without him (mostly on the last season), plus i got a strange feeling that they don’t treat him that good?, they already ignore him, plus in the uprooted episode, they treated him pretty bad even when he tried to help with his little tree. yes, i know they were nervous about the tree and Sandbar didn’t tell them at the start that he didn’t move the tree of harmony that far away, but what if theres something more going on with him?, he was actually pretty sad knowing that his friends didn’t like his little tree, i know the feeling of not being appreciated by the people you care of and it’s not a good feeling at the start, later you move on, but Sandbar really seems to like being accepted by others.
At the start of the season 8, when he mets gallus, he sorta acts more…chill?, but it seems like it isn’t his actual personality and prob a masc to just give a good impression, yes, he still a chill horse but you kinda feel the difference fkskfk
Talking about Yona, she seems the only one that actually accepted him as the way he is like he did with her, and Sandbar may like a lot her company just because of that wich makes more sence why he invited her to the amity ball
