In Fallout Tactics one of the sub-plots was that there was a project to solve the super mutant “sterility problem” which would prevent them from dying out without converting more people via FEV. Unsure how much weight Tactics has as far as lore establishment, but it strongly suggests super mutants would reproduce sexually (if not for being sterile).

They don’t have biological sexes, but ones who have intelligence and a sense of self would likely develop a gender identity of some sort.

All Alicorns are female, even if created from a male pony.
So it’s a difference to super mutants in that they could reproduce in the fun way, but lack males to do so (and don’t seem to be compatible with normal ponies, probably because of the mutations).
And because of that they keep dipping ponies into FOE’s version of the FEV.

Spoilers, Lily:FNV.
To be fair, Lily is a nightkin that’s still got access to her pre-dipping memories, so in many ways, she was able to regain aspects of her self when the control of the master dropped out, so I think she’s still her, persay, just transformed into an asexual species. Funny enough, in FoE you actually see similar, with Alicorns cut off from the Goddess recalling they had formerly been stallions before they were transformed. Well.. either that or she’s just imprinted the memories from the tapes she carries around because nightkin and stealth-boy side effects.

Well in both cases someone gets dipped into some nasty sauce.
But instead of turning into Hulks, in FOE they turn into Alicorns…but have more or less the same problems as the mutants in Fallout.

Technically speaking, super mutants don’t have sexes. The FEV gets rid of them (hence they they can’t reproduce like humans). Of course, Fallout NV has one that’s a grandmother and identifies as a woman, so who am I to tell them what to identify as?

I just wanna say that I love the way you translated the super mutants to an equine form! The muscle mass giving her a hunched canine-like form is great!
