@Pipblackjack I am a fan of that animated production …
Nobody makes animations like this anymore: nobody is so “epic” anymore (and truly insolent, if you remember the craziest scenes you could see).
If it weren’t for Paramount, Bakshy would still be animating movies (and maybe series for Cartoon Network … if it were still the Cartoon Network of the 90’s).
Yes, I remember that episode, a whole love triangle with “telenovela” music included (how it did not end with someone dying or, better yet, mutually pulling on the mane as in that episode of “Dynasty” is something I will never understand).
And I think the same about how Spike found “Wizards”: there is no doubt that there are still video clubs in Canterlot … and with an extraordinarily crazy taste for the Film Trash and the “B” movies.
I just noticed that this didn’t happen, it’s merely Spike’s fanfic*. Which makes it even better, when you remember the time Rarity showed poor Spike her stalker shrine for whatsisface the snob pony a few seasons back. How does it feel, Rares?
– I can only imagine Spike got the film on his last trip to Sunset Shimmer at Canterlot High.
That’s why I love “Wizards”, it’s a movie that does not pass the time (maybe if part of its soundtrack) but it’s the kind of movies that catatonic leaves you for the madness unleashed and that you do not see in any other production, today. And yes, I prefer the first film of “Heavy Metal”, too legendary and unrepeatable (the so-called “Heavy Metal 2000” did not manage to match it, although it did not reach disappointment in the style of “Battle Angel”: I’m a thousand times with the original Animé).
And completely agree with regards to Elinore, I hope to make better fan arts from her. Believe it or not, there are cosplays of it, they do not reach their legend (and see that I speak of an animated character) but they are fun to watch.
It’s a shame they did not make miniatures for Wargames of their characters, I would have expected to see an Elinore figure for some D & D campaign …

Will it cost a lot to move there?

dreaming is free …
Can’t blame Spike for having the hots for Elinor though. What a gorgeous gal she was.
No, I guess not … I guess in another time, maybe (when the apes conquer the world, maybe)
Meanwhile, we can always relive the beautiful existence of these misunderstood jewels of animated cinema.
Aye, it was something else. You won’t be seeing anything like that anytime soon.
Yes, it’s an absurd movie, ultra violent, sickly surreal and insane …
It’s sad to see that nobody has the courage to do something like that, today …
it’s usually so funny (and “good looking”, as it relates to Elinore)
It never fails to make me laugh when the “wizard duel” is about to take place and he just shoots him with a luger.
